Wesley Allison Clark was an American physicist and computer engineer credited with designing the first modern personal computer. He was the main participant, with Charles Molnar, in creating the LINC computer, the first minicomputer, which along with machines such as the PDP-1 is regarded as an inspiration for the personal computer. He received the Eckert-Mauchly Award in 1981 and was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 1999.
