Robert Griesemer is a Swiss computer scientist who co-created the Go programming language at Google together with Rob Pike and Ken Thompson. He studied at ETH Zurich, completing his doctorate under Hanspeter Mossenboeck and Niklaus Wirth on a programming language for vector computers. Before Go, he contributed to Google's V8 JavaScript engine and the Sawzall language, and earlier worked on Java's HotSpot virtual machine, Strongtalk and Animorphic Oberon.
